Daiwabo Information System Establishes AI Ready Data Center Verification Lab in Collaboration with Cisco:

Accelerating the deployment of AI infrastructure for regional and SMEs and supporting regional DX in the AI era

Release Overview
Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (DIS) will collaborate with Cisco Systems G.K. (Cisco) to newly establish an AI infrastructure verification facility, the CEC AI Innovation Hub, within the DIS Customer Experience Center (CEC), utilizing Cisco’s AI Ready Data Center solutions.
This facility will be one of Japan's first verification hubs, dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, regional companies, and local governments in utilizing AI through the initiatives of DIS.

Background and Objectives: Integrating Cisco’s Global Technology with DIS’s Regional Network
As generative AI and edge AI move into practical use, companies are increasingly seeking robust and scalable data center infrastructures capable of supporting AI workloads. In particular, as the use of AI directly contributes to improved operational efficiency and the creation of new value, demand for AI adoption is rising across organizations of all sizes, regardless of scale.
Meanwhile, for many small and medium-sized enterprises and local governments, shortages of IT talent, budget constraints, and information gaps have become significant barriers, making access to AI verification environments and specialized expertise a key challenge in advancing AI adoption.

Facility Features

  1. Hands-on verification environment for AI workloads
The facility is equipped with Cisco UCS Series servers and Nexus switches. The UCS servers are configured with the latest-generation, high-performance NVIDIA GPUs, enabling verification in configurations designed to simulate real-world AI inference workloads.
By securing the computational resources required for training and inference, the facility enables highly accurate measurement and evaluation of model performance, thereby significantly shortening PoC timelines and supporting faster decision-making. It also allows verification of the operation of essential AI workload software stacks, including NVIDIA AI Enterprise and Red Hat OpenShift. By enabling integrated verification across the platform, middleware, and application layers, the facility supports reliable, step-by-step progress toward building robust and efficient AI workload infrastructures, and provides the insights and validation results needed to comprehensively address challenges across all phases of AI projects.

  2. Hands-on and PoC support for dealers
The facility provides an environment in which DIS dealers and regional integrators can verify AI infrastructure configurations and performance using actual equipment prior to offering solutions to customers. In addition, DIS offers PoC support through engineer-led technical assistance and hands-on training.

  3. A regionally driven hub for AI implementation support
By leveraging AI-ready infrastructure, the facility will promote initiatives aimed at fostering a locally rooted AI ecosystem through collaboration with local companies, local governments, universities, and research institutions.
  • With collaboration among local companies, local governments, universities, and research institutions in mind, the facility will serve as a co-creation platform aimed at developing AI-based solutions to address regional challenges. Through demonstration projects and joint research initiatives, it seeks to contribute to the advancement of regional industries and the creation of new employment opportunities.
  • Through collaboration with local governments and the development and validation of AI models that utilize region-specific data, the facility is intended to identify technologies optimized for the area and implement them in society. In doing so, it aims to create AI use cases that enhance the efficiency of administrative services and advance services for residents.
  • Through collaboration with educational institutions, the facility will also be utilized as a venue for AI talent development and technical education, thereby contributing to the cultivation of the next generation of regional ICT professionals.

Future Outlook

DIS will accelerate regionally driven AI-led digital transformation by working in collaboration with Cisco and domestic partners through the following initiatives.

  • Development of AI infrastructure implementation guidelines
  • Hosting seminars for local governments and small and medium-sized enterprises
  • Deployment of AI talent development support programs

Yoshiyuki Hamada, President and General Manager of Cisco Systems G.K. provided the following comment:

“This collaboration with Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (DIS) and our contribution to the establishment of the ‘AI Ready Data Center Verification Lab’ is a great honor for us. Today, the utilization of AI technologies has become a critical management issue for companies and local governments across Japan, and realizing this requires robust and flexible infrastructure platforms as well as well-prepared, practical verification environments. By combining DIS’s nationwide network and regionally focused expertise with Cisco’s global AI-ready data center technologies, we are confident that we can provide an environment in which a broader range of customers can confidently take on the challenge of AI adoption. Going forward, through our partnership with DIS, we will continue to contribute to the promotion of regional DX in the AI era, the development of human resources, and the realization of a sustainable digital society.”

Andrew Sage, Vice President, Global Partner & Distribution Sales at Cisco Systems, also commented:
“We sincerely welcome the launch of the CEC AI Innovation Hub.  We expect that our collaboration with DIS will make a significant contribution to driving innovation and improving productivity with our customers in Japan, through the use of AI on our AI Ready Data Center platform”

Shigeki Tanimizu, Director of Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd., had the following to say:

“AI is no longer a technology limited to a select group of leading-edge companies; it has evolved into a tool capable of contributing to the resolution of challenges and the creation of value across entire regional communities. The ‘CEC AI Innovation Hub’ established through our collaboration with Cisco provides an environment in which local governments and small and medium-sized enterprises can adopt AI in a practical and phased manner.

DIS has continued to provide support closely aligned with regional on-the-ground needs by leveraging its nationwide sales network and dealer ecosystem. At this facility, DIS has established a hands-on verification environment capable of supporting AI workloads, and DIS will promote the co-creation of AI projects aimed at addressing regional challenges and advancing local industries.

Going forward, through the hosting of seminars and the deployment of AI talent development support programs, DIS will accelerate regionally driven AI digital transformation (regional DX) and strive to realize a society in which everyone can benefit from AI.”
