Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd.
Release Overview
Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka City/Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto; hereinafter “DIS”) has partnered with amnimo Inc. (Headquarters: Musashino City, Tokyo; President: Osamu Kojima; hereinafter “amnimo”) to launch a specialized solution for addressing customer harassment. Anticipating the mandatory implementation of customer harassment countermeasures beginning in 2026, DIS will provide a badge-type wearable camera (AB12) and a cloud service for managing the recorded footage.
In recent years, in industries such as service, retail, and public transportation, where employees interact directly with customers, the mental and physical burden on workers caused by customer harassment has been increasing, in some cases even affecting their ability to perform their duties. This has become a significant social issue. To address these challenges, it is essential to reliably preserve video and audio evidence and to have a system for safely managing and sharing this data.
On the other hand, existing measures face the following challenges:
- Video data storage and management are tied to individual devices, making sharing and practical use difficult.
- Constraints in the network environment lead to cumbersome implementation and operation.
- High monthly fees often create a cost barrier to adoption.
The AB12 addresses these issues with an integrated solution. It combines an innovative badge-type wearable device with a cloud service that supports evidence preservation, helping to protect both employees and companies.
Features of the Solution
- Worn as a badge-type wearable camera, it records the workplace in real time from the employee’s perspective. This provides robust evidence preservation to address customer harassment.
- Data stored on the device is encrypted, minimizing the risk of information leakage if the device is lost or stolen.
- A hybrid management system prevents missed recordings: video is continuously recorded to the device’s SD card, while only necessary footage is uploaded to the cloud, ensuring secure data management.
Leveraging its nationwide network of 101 IT product distributor locations, DIS aims to offer new value-added services as an MVNO business, integrating LTE-capable devices with communication services. To realize this, DIS will offer this new service under the product line “DIS Mobile Inside” and, in collaboration with approximately 19,000 partner companies, work to address the IT adoption challenges faced by users across Japan.
