Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest specialized IT trading companies that supports the distribution of IT products, (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereafter referred to as DIS) won both the highest “Gold” award in the “Briefing section” category and “Bronze” in the “Area division” category in the “Job Hunting Review Award 2023” hosted by One Career Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Takashi Miyashita, hereafter referred to as One Career) that manages the job seeking website “One Career.”

The state of emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic has meant that online classes have become the mainstream, the frequency of using computers has increased, and more and more students have become familiar with IT. Moreover, companies have increasingly used teleworking for the continuation of business, and IT utilization has begun to spread dramatically. However, Japan is said to be behind other countries in the utilization of IT, and the promotion of IT is an urgent task.
DIS has an underlying desire to spread IT further in urban areas and throughout Japan by exploiting our 94 sales bases that cover every corner of the country. To realize this goal, we offer superb IT devices and services to customers to enrich the lives of end users by working hand in hand with dealers and various IT vendors in each area.
The term “IT industry” may conjure up a strong image of system engineering. However, we wish students to know that it can be associated with a trading company specializing in IT, and strongly wish that people looking for employment in the trading industry will learn of the existence of a trading company that deals with such “IT” products as computers, software, cloud services, and network devices. Students may have some difficulty in understanding the terms “Trading company industry” and “IT industry.” However, in our recruiting session, we employ ways to help students easily understand both the IT industry and trading industry. We explain the role of our company using the ways we have developed. We think that our award winning can be attributed to our efforts to make students feel our company is closer to them than they expected. As for the award in the “Area division” category, we believe that we were recognized for the fact that although we are headquartered in Osaka, we have business offices across the country and provide a stable supply of IT products to every part of the country. This also helped us receive the two awards. As expressed by the words “sampo yoshi” (good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society), we are constructing not only a business that satisfies suppliers and dealers but also that takes end users and societal development into consideration as a trading company. Keeping this in mind, we will pursue our business activities with a view to contributing to society through “IT.”
The IT industry is characterized by radical innovative changes. As new technologies and products are put successively on the market, we have to be sensitive to market trends. In addition, we must continuously transfer the knowledge and information we obtain to customers. Students inexperienced in IT may imagine great difficulties in working in the IT industry. Please rest assured; DIS provides an environment where you can study IT substantially. We are very happy to welcome students with such thoughts as “I like to interact with people”, “I want to help someone,” and “I want to continue to develop”.

This award is designed to showcase companies that are evaluated highly on the basis of “students’ reviews of recruiting events.” Of about 47,000 companies that placed articles in “ONE CAREER,” companies that received an extremely high rating in 2022 receive awards. The “Briefing section category award” is given to the 10 companies that held a briefing session that students regarded as worthwhile attending. The “Area division category award” is given to companies headquartered outside Tokyo that students regarded as being worthwhile attending.

The “Transform job seeking to dialog project” is a project organized by One Career, PR TIMES, and companies that won the “One Career Job Hunting Review Award” to transform communications between companies and students regarding job seeking and the employment of new graduates. On a special page, the real intentions of students and recruiters are made clear and information for interactive dialogs is published.
