Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as DIS; Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto) has concluded a distributorship agreement with Google Cloud, the Cloud computing service supplied by Google, and will launch sales of Google Cloud in the Japanese market.

 

Google Cloud is a computing service via which Google offers the technology and Cloud environment component used within Google as services. It enables users to ease the process from development to implementation, and because each service is provided on a pay-per-use basis, any company, regardless of its size, can minimize their initial investment.

 

This collaboration allows DIS to offer a wide variety of outstanding services from Google Cloud: from computing, storage, databases, and AI, to machine learning, to the Japanese market through dealers, in addition to Google Workspace, which DIS has been selling very successfully. At the same time, it is possible to ease the management and operation of accounts based on the pay-per-use model because Google Cloud is offered through “iKAZUCHI,” the subscription management portal operated by DIS. We will continue to make further efforts to offer ever more services to partner companies and small- and medium-sized companies in Japan by developing our business in accordance with Japanese commercial practices and utilizing our traditional business transaction platform, in addition to upgrading and expanding support for sales of Google Cloud solutions and assistance with their use.

 

It will be necessary to achieve digitalization and Cloud computing with software that enables agility, resiliency, and flexibility, and which is based on open and consistent IT architectures, at greater speeds than before to cope with new working styles, such as the growth of teleworking prompted by the pandemic, and to ensure future business continuity. Companies are closely following trends in the modernization of information technology as well as hybrid and multi-Cloud computing based on open-source software. At the same time, developers are looking for ways of encouraging the rapid development and uptake of Cloud native applications by utilizing the latest technologies such as containers (software packages) and Kubernetes to achieve digital transformation.

 

DIS supports digital transformation at companies and local governments nationwide through a range of initiatives that include offering information and expertise, upgrading and expanding sales support programs using web seminars, digital tools and new content, and by strengthening collaboration with the approximately 19,000 dealers covered by our sales network of 90 bases across the country.
