Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd.

Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereafter referred to as DIS) has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with the National University Corporation, Hyogo University of Teacher Education (Kato-city, Hyogo Prefecture, President: Tetsuya Kajisa, hereafter referred to as Hyogo University of Teacher Education), to coordinate and cooperate in the Teacher Training Flagship University project (hereafter referred to as the project), to contribute to reforming and advancing teacher training in Japan by making the best use of the resources and characteristics developed and owned by each organization.

In an age where future changes cannot be easily foreseen, each child is required to take the initiative in creating his or her life, for today and with an eye toward the future. While fostering the ability to survive throughout life is necessary, teachers are also required to acquire new qualities and abilities, and thus reform is under way in the field of teacher training. To the end of building a better society through school education, DIS agrees with the intent of this project, and will promote it by developing and exploiting the advantages of the ICT environment from a corporate standpoint, making the best use of the know-how it has gained in the pursuit of business development.

Details of coordination and cooperation

  1. Developing leading and innovative teaching subjects, educational methods, and teaching materials that meet the requirements of the age of Society 5.0, holding various meetings, either alone or together, and providing advice for the development of ICT environments
  2. Exchanging human resources that contribute to the project, and participating in review meetings
  3. Participating in and cooperating with the Teacher Training Flagship University consortium of Hyogo University of Teacher Education, which will be established for execution of the project
  4. Participating in activities that the two organizations consider necessary to achieve objectives of the project not included in the above particulars

Through its promotional activities to support the introduction of ICT in education, DIS contributes to building a better learning environment where children, who will be leaders in the next generation, can learn by taking advantage of ICT, as well as participating in the project.

On the Teacher Training Flagship University project
The Teacher Training Flagship University project is a new framework established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, in which the minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology designates flagship universities to enable them to take the initiative in developing teachers responsible for Japanese School Education in the Age of Reiwa, and reforming the way in which teacher education itself is conducted.
Four universities, including Hyogo University of Teacher Education, were designated for the first time on March 9, 2022.
Designated universities are expected to design and lead innovative activities, such as studying and developing new programs, through close coordination with schools, educational administrations, non-profit organizations, companies, and other universities and research institutes that have outstanding achievements and accomplishments in academic research related to education, in anticipation of the arrival of a new society. At the same time, they are expected to disseminate knowledge gained from these activities, among teacher training universities and those that have teacher training courses, as a main driving force in the reformation of teacher training in Japan.
