Begins Offering DIS Azure Cyber Risk Support

As of June 23, 2020, Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as DIS: Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto) is now bundling DIS Azure Cyber Risk Support cyber risk insurance with Microsoft Azure (hereafter referred to as Azure) as a new standard service, in collaboration with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Tokio Marine & Nichido: Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinichi Hirose) and Daiwabo Lifesupport Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Tatsuya Tashiro).
■On compensation for cyber risk
There is now a pressing need to update and transform existing organizations’ ICT environments to public cloud environments, in order to devise BCP measures, promote telework, and foster digital transformation. However, there is a serious risk of widespread damage should problems arise in the cloud platform. When such problems arise in a system or service employing Azure infrastructure, DIS Azure Cyber Risk Support covers the damages and various kinds of related expenses incurred by the Azure user. In addition, when an Azure-based system is subject to cyberattack, it covers expenses for recovery from damage, investigation of the cause, consultation on devising countermeasures, and related responses.
DIS provides this new service, at no additional charge, to customers who receive our services under the Microsoft cloud solution provider (hereafter referred to as CSP) agreement.
