Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto, hereinafter referred to as DIS) has signed a distributorship agreement for the Japanese market with Adaptiv Networks, Inc. (Head Office: Quebec, Canada, CEO: Bernard Breton, hereinafter referred to as Adaptiv), which is a Cloud-native Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) service vendor. DIS will begin distributing market Cloud management business connection solutions developed by Adaptiv, which has the largest patent portfolio in the SD-WAN industry, in the Japanese domestic market.

According to an overview of the domestic SD-WAN market published by IDC Japan in September 2023, the SD-WAN market will grow by 13.9% per annum from 2022 to 2027, and market size is estimated to grow by about 1.9-fold to about 22.5 billion yen in 2027 compared to the 2022 level.

The domestic SD-WAN market continues to grow steadily. The return of employees to offices accelerated in 2022 and various SaaS (Software as a Service) programs, such as for Web meetings, were increasingly utilized among business facilities, influenced by the spread of COVID-19. This increased the load placed on WANs. In response to this, SD-WANs have been increasingly adopted to separate traffic routes in accordance with the local breakout function of SD-WAN devices to prevent the overloading of WANs.

An analysis of this trend by size of company shows that larger companies are reconstructing networks that connect business bases, local Clouds, and remote workers, based on their observations of traffic patterns associated with employees’ working styles and utilization of SaaS applications and local Cloud services. From 2023, the market is anticipated to continue to grow due to increasing mainly SMBs (small- and medium-sized businesses) needing integrated utilization of local breakouts and security in addition to the demand generated by reconstruction of large-scale networks led by large companies.

Introduction of SD-WANs improves corporate WAN environments and realizes optimization and stabilization of Internet connections vital to teleworking, etc. “ELFIQ,” which is Adaptiv’s SD-WAN solution that is designed for medium-sized companies, offers diverse solutions from their wide-ranging library in response to individual companies’ utilization characteristics and realizes innovative traffic management. On the other hand, it can be implemented in existing networks without the need to modify them, and offers users ease of management and optimal performance.

Adaptiv won the first position in a survey of customer satisfaction with SD-WAN vendors in the medium-sized market in the latest issue of Emotional Footprint featuring SD-WAN published by Software Reviews. The company offers agile, safe, and highly reliable network connections to companies that rely on business Cloud applications.

Adaptiv’s SD-WAN solutions improve the quality and reliability of solutions for unified communications and offer market-leading seamless failover (the ability to disconnect and redirect traffic to a secondary connection to maintain a reliable service if a voice or video link is lost).

DIS delivers product solutions offered by Adaptiv to users throughout Japan based on a community-based sales system realized by sales networks established at 94 bases that cover every corner of Japan through about 19,000 dealers, and contributes to the progress of digitalization in Japan by supporting corporate digitalization and business transformation. At the same time, DIS not only offers products, information, and technological support for solutions, but also services to customers of numerous partner companies and small- and medium-sized companies in Japan based on the provision of support for sales activities and education, and the expansion and upgrading of support systems.

DIS is scheduled to exhibit Adaptiv’s products at “DIS World 2023 in Himeji” which is a DIS-sponsored comprehensive ITC exhibition to be held for two days beginning on November 8, 2023. We warmly welcome all people interested in this exhibition.
