Supporting Japanese Companies Facing an Increase in Remote Workers

HYCU, Inc. (hereafter referred to as HYCU: Head Office: Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.), a pioneering enterprise software company specializing in data backup, recovery, and monitoring, and Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as DIS: Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Matsumoto), will provide free and unlimited backup service until June 30, 2020, for new HYCU customers, to support the introduction of telework demanded by Japanese companies.

 

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has asked Japanese companies to accelerate further utilization of telework and staggered commuting, to limit the spread of the new coronavirus in workplaces; and the companies are making efforts to promote these initiatives.
HYCU and DIS will provide new customers purchasing HYCU on-premises software or public cloud services, with HYCU’s backup service, at no charge until June 30, as part of our efforts to minimize coronavirus-related repercussions on Japanese company activities. By rationalizing initial settings, the backup service will help companies reduce costs associated with the transference to telework.

 

Simon Taylor, CEO of HYCU, Inc., states, “we are not a company that is staying away from a worsening problem. Companies that have launched teleworking systems for their employees, to cope with the ongoing spread of infection by the new coronavirus, are often in the middle of chaos. The least we can do is to help them reduce the costs related to the introduction of teleworking, and provide support to their employees.
