VOC Discharge

O-M Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “OM”), which operates the industrial machinery business, emits volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in some of the painting processes for product parts. Actions to Control Soil and Groundwater Pollutants

We are conducting groundwater monitoring at the OM Nagaoka Plant, which handles industrial machinery, and have confirmed that there is no contamination. In addition, when the factory was constructed, we investigated whether there was any contamination and reported the results to the authorities.

Management of Chemical Substances

Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. in the IT infrastructure distribution business (hereinafter referred to as “DIS”) adds environmental information to the product information listed on its e-commerce (B2B) system iDATEN, which enables users to check which products are environmentally friendly. By reducing the amount of work required to check whether each product is environmentally friendly, DIS is promoting green IT among its business partners. In addition, in response to various inquiries regarding substances contained in products it handles, the company provides information via iDATEN and, if necessary, makes inquiries to manufacturers to respond.
